I am really thinking about pulling the trigger on a new rimfire, and really want to check out a savage with an accu trigger, and the Mark II looks like just what I want.
However I can't decide which one, and I need help deciding.

Mark II G pros- 100 bucks cheaper, iron sights if I want to wait on a scope, (I like irons too, are savages irons any good?), and the youth model comes in 19" barrel length. (I like a little more compact)

MARK II BV pros - beautiful laminate stock, cool looking bull barrel (yeah it's heavier but it looks so sleek, never had a bull) I guess I really just like the look of this one.

I guess it really comes down to cost, with the cheaper one I don't even need to worry about a scope and rings, and it's 100 bucks cheaper to begin with, but will I regret not springing for the one that I really like?

go with your heart I got both a stainless with fiber optic FSS and a BV I prefer the BV it's more accurate and it's a nice looking gun. I sit a 6x24x42 tasco varmont on top that make I Think a really fine rigs for the price.

I just picked up the MK 11with iron sights and i like it alot. its got a tasco varmint scop on it also same as the one in the post above and it seems like a bit overkill for it but i like to do 100m range plinking so it works for me. but yeah you should go with what you want, as far as accuracy mine shoots well but cant comment on comparison to one with a bull barrel.

Could someone tell me if the receiver is tapped or if they have a dove tail?

I am in the same shape as you wondering which 22 to buy.

I picked up a Mk2 last year (FV). You won't be disappointed with it, whichever way you go. Personally, I went with a synthetic stock as I know it would (with my luck) take the occasional knock.
