Need advise on places that will do the certification for CFSC and CRFSC (in one day) so I can get my certificate (proof) to submit with PAL application.

Has to be close to Vancouver as I will be specially flying in from California for it and ideally like to spend as little time there as possible.

I know firearms well - Is it possible I can just take the test?

Thanks for your time and help.

you dont need to take a course, all you can do is challenge the examination itself and save your self 100 odd dollars....

just find an instructor who will let you take the test, i challenged mine about a year ago for $25. if you know firearms its easy...

to get a list of instructors just call the CFO office for BC and give them the postal code/area where you are living/visiting and they'll give you the names and phone numbers of the closest 3 or 4 firearms instructors.

All you need to do is buy the book ($16) that you need to prepare for the exam and that you'll get at any(most) fire arms store. i bought the book two days before my exam and sepnt about 3-4 hours 'persuing' thru it.

This applies both for PAL and RPAL, you can challenge them together and and make life a lot easier for yourself...

Good luck!

Thanks for the kind word Ed :)

We have been offering the CFSC and CRFSC training both students as well as setting up instructors for the last 14 years. We offer courses every week and weekend as well as private instruction. If you have a background in safe firearms handling you are also welcome to challenge the course at any one of our scheduled challenge days (make sure to look through the books first though ;)).

No matter where you decide to get your training, our door is always open with qualified staff available to answer any questions or assist you with your paperwork.
