Which Scope for an AIR RIFLE??? Maybe a Red Dot???

Hey Guys;

Over the weekend, I bought an air rifle, a "no name" jobbie... Single shot, single break .177 rifle grooved for a scope... The experience brought me right back to being a kid... Now... I shot it at 25 meters and it seems "old age" is catching up with me... (ya ya, I wear glasses now...)

So... I'm looking for a scope to put on it... I "know" most scopes are paralax free at 100 meters, but this unit will likely NEVER get shot past 50 meters...

Is there a scope out there that is paralax free at 50 meters? Maybe one specifically designed for an air rifle??? I'd also be leaning towards a fixed 4 power...

Springers (especially the magnums) can be pretty hard on scopes. I had a Bushnell air rifle scope that had AO, but I can't remember how much it was.

For a lot of money the leupold EFR (I believe it means extended focus range) scopes provide close range parallax adjustment ... and a good warranty if the recoil effects it... plus pretty good resale if you decide to sell....

Make sure that the scope is rated for airgun usage as a springer can destroy a scope in short order.I have a leupold efr on my own air rifle,but there are much cheaper options available.Try the link below.I bought my air rifle from him.He sells a variety of scopes,some of which are very reasonably priced.

KDX and stubblejumper... Thanks for the help. I've learned that spring air rifle scopes need to be braced in the front and back of the lenses to prevent the vibration from wrecking them...

My order went out to airgunsonly for a hawke 4 power air rifle scope and mount...
