Which scope to pick?

Hi there,

My apologies for the vague question... Going to be picking up a Remington 700 R5 in the next couple of days. The purpose is for target shooting. The gun club i will be shooting at has a 300yard range.

I know the prices on glass have a huge range. Just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

What's your budget?
Depending at which gun range you shoot at, you might be able to arrange to meet with people on the forum to check out glass.

For what it's worth, I run a Bushnell elite tactical 6-24x50 FFP on my 5R and I can shoot sub-MOA with it at 300yards.

I dont want to sell myself short and get something bad. Im not sure what price range i'd be looking at... Any suggestions as to different scopes I should look at?

Thinking that Sightron and Vortex are two pretty good options. Cant seem to find a place that sells Sightron. Any recommendations ?
