Which semi-automatic would you buy?

I would go with the Baby Eagle since that the only all steel gun in your list. Why overlook the CZ's?????

These are quite different pistols you've got on the list. Have you handled all of them yet, or are you just putting them on your list because you've heard other people say they're good?
You should really decide which one feels comfortable in your hands and if you can which ones shoot the best for you... plus there's always budget to consider. These aren't all priced the same either.
In my experience they're all good pistols in the hands of people who like them so if they fit you well, you can't go wrong with any of them. I haven't got any experience with the baby eagle though, so I can't comment on it.

What tipped you over to the M&P?

1) I liked the feel better.
2) I liked the idea of the ability to change the palm grips to fit my hand
3) Although I bought mine from the EE from the site, right now you get 2 extra mags with your M&P (4 total)
4) everybody and the dog has a Glock. I wanted to try something different.

If you were going to buy one semi-automatic and it would be your only one which of the following would you choose. They are also going to be roughly the same price.
S&W M&P
Glock 17
baby eagle
springfield xd9
ruger xr9

First and foremost: WHICH FITS YOU BETTER?

Then, consider whether you have pro/con feelings about hammer verus striker fired mechanisms, external safeties, etc.

They are all of decent quality.

Personally, I would do with the M&P, but that's just me.

Cheers,

Neal

Is the 2 extra mags rebate still valid in Canada?

Baby eagle is great gun. I say that because I shot it once and was able to put everything in a black at 20 yards - I get such great score not too often and for me it was a big deal. Bit long trigger pull though.

From the list i've only tried the top two, and of those it'd probably be the M&P purely for ergonomic considerations. If I can add, I would (and did) go with the Steyr M9-A1 instead. ;)

Personally, I'm not sure. Some people on this site say that they have been getting them and some say that there not. It all depends on who that spoke with at S&W.

I bought mine used (almost new) from a CGN'er and it came with 5 mags :D I took it out today and I really like this pistol. Highly recommended.
