Which SKS optic solution do you prefer? BadAce, Magwedge, something else?

Would anyone happen to know of a store that has the BadAce red dot mounts in stock? Looks like I waited too long and they are sold out everywhere, dangit

Hadn't seen those for the SKS. Do they make a version of that, that has low picatinny rail? The original is a bit high, and limited in what optics can be mounted. Also, drill and tap to mount, I assume?



Huh, wasn't familiar with that one. Might try one of these at some point. Drill and tap may be pushing my abilities though! Thanks

I have a Russian one with the PU mount and scope. You have to cut out the wood. Otherwise I have the Magwedge scope mount in different variations, even the one with the cut out for stripper clips.

If you want to mount a scope, still use striper clips and keep the iron site intact... crazy ivan mount, its a drill and tap reciever mount style... i fou d it worked great.

Oh yes, I have one with that mount too. Again, you have to cut out the wood but very solid mount and fairly easy to remove. I also have another mount from kalinka optics, the one which sits very low.

You can tell that I have quite a few SKS. Sometimes I forget what I have.
