Which SKS stock to make good CQB-Style Rifle?

I am awaiting delivery of a Chinese SKS, and I am considering re-equiping it with a modern stock. I already have a nice Russian in a laminated stock that I re-finished, with a choate mount and a 1 x 3 Weaver scope, so I am covered for a medium range weapon

My notion is to take the Chinese rifle and put it into a tactical style stock, and probably a red dot sight. I am looking at the Tapco intrafuse stock, but I wanted to solicit opinions from the folks who have experience with this kind of project.

What is the current favorite for tactical stocks for an SKS? Thoughts, anyone?

I recently put a tapco t6 on mine. I love it. Was told from other people that had put ati's on that it wasn't a good fit. My tapco fit perfect. I even put a tapco detachable mag on. Had to modify the mag a little, had some failures to feed but it works great now.
 
Crapco is the best bang for the buck when it comes to plastic stuff. My Chinese will probably get it eventually, just got too many other chestnuts in the fire consuming my paycheques :cool:

Here are a few:







Notice that I did the modification described in the DIY sticky for SKS's where you grind out the back corner of the ejection port to make it more of a right angle. This is suposed to make the spent cartridge eject sideways instead of straight up so that it does not hit the scope. Seems to work OK, although I may also do an additional mod that reduces the ejection force by drilling holes in the gas tube.

I was truly shocked the first time i shot mine. Pity any poor range folk sitting near me. Now I wait until I'm not going to be madly flinging brass off the roof of the shooting benches at everyone.
 
IMHO the SKS is too long of a firearm to be considered useful as a CQB rifle. But if you're looking for the tactical (or tacti-cool) look, then try a Tapco stock. It didn't quite do it for me though as you'll see here. Most of the really good SKS mods are the result of a lot of hard work and super-customization.
