Which sxs has ejectors and rem choke tubes?

Inexpensive and reliable SXS, with removeable choke tubes?
A few come to mind:
Stoeger: decent
Baikal: tough, not a polished beauty but good.
Ildiz: haven't seen one yet but have heard good thing.

The Yildiz Elegant A5E will give you what you are asking for, but you will be stuck with a singe trigger and a semi pistol grip stock. It may only be available in 20 gauge, I am not sure about that.

The CZ / Huglu SxS's give you more options regarding gauges, triggers and stocks, but do not offer ejectors.

If I was determined to have it all (on a budget), I would go buy a minty Sauer Royal and have Precision Arms & Gunsmithing in King City, Ontario install a set of choke tubes in it.

My 20ga CZ Bobwhite has 26" bbls, double triggers, extractors, and choke tubes.

The SKB I had before had ejectors. I used to put my hand over the chambers to prevent the empties from flying out and saving me from picking them up. I prefer extractors any day.

I agree, I was quickly converted to extraction only. What do you think of your 20g bobwhite? Trying to pick between a 28 and 20g in that exact gun.

I like it. Fits well and I seem to be able to shoot it well enough.

My only complaint is that the checkering was done before the finish was applied. It's nice and watertight, but the checkering is filled with finish. I might get it cleaned out, but then it's a working gun so it may be best to leave it as is.

I'm not sure what you consider to be affordable, but the Fabarm Nobile has the ability to either eject or extract, and their hyperbolic choke tubes seem to offer a real advantage over standard tubes.

They look nice but too rich for my blood. I was thinking about $1000. Those look to be over $2000US.

Ardent, see this review of the Bobwhites in both 20 and 28 gauge (insert shameless self promotion icon here).

Hate to hijack, but just wanted to say thanks Sharptail, I just bought the Bobwhite in 28 gauge. Ps, if you are looking to sell the Gold Label please let me know I'm casually after one if one pops up before the ambiguous redesigned summer production run.

Sharptail,

Au contraire (spelling?), I see nothing embarrassing at all in your pointing towards that review....that was a very good review and will really assist folks interested in that particular model to make an informed decision.

Ardent,

Great choice. Both 20 and 28ga Bobwhites are nice hunting shotguns in that price range.....wish CZ offered the 28ga Bobwhite with 28 inch bbls. As pointed out by SC, the "lacquered" stock is really watertight - I've pursued Woodcock last season during downpours with no adverse effect to the wood.

Afraid that would likely take the overall expense beyond the boundaries of $1K :)

Which sxs shotgun has ejectors and removable choke tubes? (and doesn't cost an arm and a leg)

IMHO, if you are planning to overlook the matter of finesse :) then the Baikal would be a better deal as it's mechanical construction is much superior compared to other new sxs models under $1K.
