There is the GSG-15, ISSC MK22, Ruger SR-22, Mossberg 715T...
Am I missing any (obviously I am only familiar with Cabela's offereing)?
As much as I like the M&P, I can't be bothered with the restrictions of Restricted.
It seems the GSG might be a decent buy? I had their STG-44 for a short time, seemed solid but I didn't like the claw scope mount so sold it. Now thinking of something similar in more modern design with proper rails so easier to scope etc. Fun plinker but also accurate enough for paper up to 50m or so with a scope.

im currently working towards a DMR style rifle with the SR22. Stock is it accurate enough from 3/4 of an inch to 1 1/2 inch groups.

I plan up upgrading it to a KIDD barrel, KIDD trigger, DMR after market stock and a nice optic.

Owned the mossberg and it is a turd.

Had a friend own the ISSC and he wasnt a fan.

Thus why I went with the SR22 not to mention the endless amount of mods for rugers.

I have had a great time at the range with my ISSC MK22. It's also been a tac driver out to 30 yards with a 4x on it. I just need some time to get it out to the bush for some added distance. It might even be my grousin' gun this year!

Take a look at the CZ 512 tactical available in .22lr or.22WMR. I see your local to me so Al Flaherty's sells them if you want to take a look. I picked up the 512 carbine in .22 WMR and love it so far. It's the same action/barrel as the tactical except it wears blk. stained beechwood furniture as opposed to a tactical body.

I'm no Ruger 10/22 fan, but holding an SR-22 means wanting an SR-22. Solid feeling, nicely finished, 10/22 reliability, etc. I've owned a 10/22 and if the SR-22s shoot anything like the gun I had, I wouldn't consider it much of a bench gun/target shooter. Fun? Yes! Tight groups? Not so much. I like semis for reactive targets. If I want to punch paper, the bolt gun(s) gets the nod.

Don't know if they are still made, but I have a Remington 597 VTR that is accurate and reliable. I use the factory 10 round and 30 round(loaded to 25) with complete reliability. If I have a malfunction it is 100% ammo related (I use mainly bulk ammo in this gun).

Thanks for further input.
Is the mag on the CZ as long and curly as it appears in the pic? I know Al Fla's very well, been parted with lots of money in there already! They also carry the Ruger, GSG and ISSC though not all in stock right now. Probably the best place to make comparisons when they are.

My Anshutz MSR RX22 is a great tactical plinker. Had some issues with cheap ammo. But she is all sorted out now.
I use a scope or a Vortex Strikefire red dot. Lots of fun. It loves CCI tactical ammo.

Looks pretty good, is it Is another variant of the GSG/ISSC? I found one listing that said it's made by GSG.
Edit: another review says developed by ISSC and manufactured in Germany (presumably by GSG) for Anschutz.
