Wanting to get a tavor as a general bush, plinking rifle. Just unsure which model to get.
I like the tar 21 and there seems to be some decent deals on the EE for used ones.
Or get an X95 which are quite a bit more...don’t seen any used for sale on the EE
Or wait and get a tavor 7.
I like the tar 21, it just worries that it is being discontinued. So should I wait for the new ones? Are the feTires that much better.
I don’t mind heavier triggers as that’s what I was trained on but I would most likely be swapping the trigger out on any of them. I plan on using a mid range optic and a red dot so it would be a close to mid range rifle.

Buy all of them! Start with the most expensive one first so the next few will not seem as bad, price wise.

I prefer the TAR over the X95, but it all comes down to personal taste. I'd recommend going to a shop or asking if anyone at the local range has one, hold both models and see which one fits better in the hand.

I’ve shot both at the range. It was tough as one was .223 and the x95 was 9mm. I tend to like the look of the tar better.
Just wondering wether to get the tar or wait and see what the tavor 7 will be like.
Do y’all think the tar price will drop even further when the tavor 7 comes out. Right now looking at at tar for $1800 with only about a hundred rounds through it. 2nd gen

TAR21 is a great rifle, and the deals on the EE are awesome. If I didn't already own one, I would definitely have picked up a used one. X95 is nice, but not enough of an improvement for me to dump my TAR21 for one. I personally can't wait for a Tavor7. I'm a big fan of .308, so it's a no-brainer to me to pick one of those up.

That’s my debate. I have a bcl 102 as a .308.
So not sure if I want the tavor in .308 or .223...and if the tar 21 prices will drop even further when the tavor 7 comes out?

let me share my experience with tavors---i love em---had quite a few since they came out--more than the wife approved of --lol---tar 21 is the original and our favorite---since we prefer the central mag release -the larger butt stock and ergos over all.Brought home a couple new x95 when they came out and they didnt get off the launch pad as i felt cramped on the center bolt pull and again the butt stock was too small as im a bigger guy.Now this is not to take anything away from x95 as many prefer the ar15 type mag release and center bolt engagement and of course the better trigger-as in lighter pull.Wife also like the original probably since she was use to it.The new tav7 is a bit of a mixture--looks more like the original with bigger butt pad but has center bolt and ar15 mag release.I wouldn't bet my house on the tav7 due to the fact when it comes out near the end of year after frt approval(as per NS)-the classification might change-but might not. With the 223 tavs you have option of using lar 10 round mags (for now)which makes it more fun compared to the 5 round 308 tav7s.In closing both are great in reliability and since the discontinuation of tar21 -parts will be available for next 10yrs as per Iwi.Your choice-its like picking m&ms--which colour hmm which colour--lol.Any pick will be a good one--enjoy.ps -i think the prices of tav 21 wont go much lower as you cant find new ones much.....

If I didn't own either I'd get the X-95. It's nice, but not enough of an improvement for me to spend money dumping my TAR21 for one.

The TAR21 is the better rifle in my opinion. The X95 did nothing for me when I held it. I didn't like the charging handle being moved back. I much prefer the forward posistion. Although the new mag release was nice, it wouldn't justify a upgrade in my opinion if a person already owned a TAR21.
