Which to buy, a Rock River Arms M4 or CMMG M4...without splitting hairs here guys, lol

Word of mouth from a importer is not official enough?:D

No actually it's not ...and this ain't my first BBQ when it comes to ARs darling;) too much scuttlebutt and BS. Mark is a great source of intel but I would like to know if he has measured the pins or seen these first hand and at what serial number range things changed ...I like things vetted by more than just one source ...maybe it's my work life seeping into my Interweb dweeb life ...

I really wish more people would NOT just believe everything they read on the internet... we might see a little less BS and other types of crap being spread as "fact"... Bravo to Sparrow!!! Question EVERYTHING and triple check facts and sources.

In my case I speak from first hand inspection. I have in the past few months had a number of units (at our US office) and on one occassion I personally checked the fire control pins... removed them, measured and compared them with standard set from an RRA part kit. They were indeed "standard" size. So were the pivot and take-down pins.

I don't have serial numbers to give you (sorry) and I don't know if this is officially "all" COLTs being built now... that's something you'd need to discuss with COLT.

That is indeed good news, not that it made a World of difference to my confidence in my Colts but it is nice to know that readily available pins and triggers can be used ...Thanks Mark.

Just the post i was looking for as I had the same question.
Im basically down to a RRA or CMMG , liking the RRA for the two stage trigger but am curious on the W.A.S.P coating on CMMG (cant seem to find much info on it ).
I havent seen the 1299.00 price on the RRA , but i am not far off with the 1499.00 tags ive seen.
So close to "pulling the trigger" on my order...

I myself decided to go with a ST-15 complete from Spike Tactical...just waiting on a reply from the Big Q....and away i go into the blissfull cloud known as AR ownership, ive resisted long enuff....

I told him to go with the spikes guys. I thought the CHF 1/7 barrel and Melonite finish on the Spikes is prettier and more durable than either RRA or CMMG. Do you think I gave him the correct advise. As well the price difference for the Spikes was only 50 bucks more.

I couldnt find enuff info on the W.A.S.P coating to jump into a CMMG, and RRA was also top of list with 2 stage trigger, and overal decent rep , Mrsmitty had originaly suggested the Spikes tactical , so i took the advice i asked for. Im sure i wil have one of each before long!

dont think you be bad off to pik up any ar for a G.
Im just waiting my self for a reply from Questar....
