Which trimer to buy?

[338 Imperial]

Okay folks , it's time to replace my old worn Lyman case trimer.
Lookin' at the Redding 2400 with micrometer ajust for length.I'm not a competitive shooter , but I load a wide variety of cartridges & thought thus style may ease setup when changing OAL. Tired of the little set screws, ect.
What are your comments ?

Another vote for the Giraud. Expensive yes, but it'll have you giggling every time you use it remembering how tedious case trimming used to be !!

A modifed Wilson trimmer to be better, suposedly.

I have the Hornady lock and load trimmer that is kind of like a drill press, all you need are Hornady shell holders and trim away. $425.00 or there abouts. FS

I'm using a Lyman with power adapter right now and the Giraud is on my list for future purchases. I'm sure that the time savings will offset the cost if you shoot a lot.

WOW , the Giraud video was awsome .I can accept the initial cost !Great rig!
But adapters for for all my diferent cartriges would get pretty pricey !

Best case trimmer I've even used ...

I like the Forster case trimmer. It requires using a small drill press.
I devoted this press to trimming cases, and this operation now just takes about 2 seconds per case.

The foot pedal speeds up this operation even more.

Giraud. I might have had one of the first ones in Canada, I ordered mine in June 2003 and I've never looked back. After trimming thousands of cases I am of the firm opinion that you just can't beat it with any other commercial trimmer.

I keep it simple, Lee caser trimer in a cordless drill.

Yes. I have one and it does not trim to consistent lengths, like most collet-type trimmers. No longer use it.
I now use a Sinclair/Wilson combo for all trimming and I like.

I have read so many positive comments on them and have not found any negative until now. Does it compare to any other trimmers or is it that crappy?
