Hi
I think I am going to start with the turret press unless i get a really good deal on the 550
I am wondering wt are the comments on the lyman T-mag II and Lee classic turret press? I am going to load 9mm Luger and may be some 303 Brit.
And who deals Lyman presses in ontario? Is there somewhere I can find a price list?
Thanks very much

edit: apparently there are more than lee and lyman, so i guess any turret with auto index that can be found in ontario for a price lower than 200 is ok, better if it comes in a kit as well

Take a look at the Redding T-7 turret.

I have a LEE turret press, and while there is nothing wrong with them, I would prefer the Redding over the Lee. I saw the Lyman on display at Wholesalesports Grand Opening and was not all that impressed with the build.

If your stuck on the 2 then I would get the Lyman over the Lee.

oh
i have no idea other brands have turret as well XD (feeling such a noob)
actually I am open to any kind of turret with auto indexing that is available in ontario with the press itself cost less than 200 new
so yea, any comment on any turret will be welcomed and useful to me
thanks

I bought a Lee Turret Press for Higginsons powder who are the Lee Distributor in Canada. If doing it again go for a Classic Cast as its a little better made for not much more. My next purchase will be a progressive press of some sorts.

I am not sure if the Lyman or the Redding press are able to auto index. I know the Lee does as I have the gear to make it do so but I don't use it as I do not load for handgun and I don't have the rifle auto disk thingy-ma-jigs.

Rod B is right-on with his comments,.....i just bought one & it's great. Lee has a winner with this one in my view & being able to self index is great. remove the index rod & you can use it like a single stage press too.....

here's a good article on it:

there's 2 more parts at the bottom of it as well....

check out the videos at Lee's website to see how it works.

if you decide to go with this classic cast turret press, here's another good read with good pictures to help you along greatly....

I used to have a Lyman turret, not impressed. I have a older Lee turet, and like it.
After I buy my Bonanza Co-Ax press, I'd take a darn close look at the Lee Classic Turret.

I started years ago with a Lee turret press. Kept it & also bought a Lee Pro 2000 that I sold and replaced with a Dillon square deal B.
I still like my Lee turret with one exception & that is I wish Lee had a better system for the old primers. Other than that I like it.
But I have not used the other brands mentioned above so my opinion is not 100 %.
