Im looking for a cheap scope for plinking gophers and coyotes and have it pretty much narrowed to these two:

Bushnell Elite 3200 Tactical 5-15x40
or
Falcon Menace 4-14x44FFP

Of the two which would you buy and why would you choose it?

Cheers!!

I have 2 of the bushnells and like them alot. But just wondering, when did a $450 dollar scope become cheap lol. I still consider a $120 bushnell banner cheap. I dont have any expirience with the falcon.

Scott,
I own the Bushnell 5-15 Tactical. I use it on my .22-250 and absolutely love it. You will want to get one in your hands and look through it if you can, the crosshairs are not as thin like some other long range varmint scopes, out past 300 yards on groundhogs you may notice this.

The eye relief is excellent, the turrets are excellent, great glass, very durable, great scope that I would highly recommend.

The two scopes you mentiones look like great scopes. I have some experience with the Bushnell 3200s and they work well, I do not have any experience with the Falcon scopes so I will refrain from comment on those scopes. Another scope to consider would be the Vortex Crossfire varmint/target scopes. They are available in 4-16X50, 6-24X50 and 8-32X50 all with adjustable objectives and several reticle styles. In Canada these are priced at $300 or less depending on model and dealer.

I hope you don't hate me for hi-jacking this thread!

Doing a quick search on the net, I have found that some of the differences are, B has a 40mm bell and the F has a 44mm, B has a standard recital multi X (mildot $50 extra), F has mildot or MP 20 (my fav). Also, Th noticed that the B has the parallax adjustment is on the front bell and the F has it on the left side (I also prefer), an the B has a 1" tube and the F has a 30mm tube.

Now what does all this meant to me, doesn't matter... It's what you like. The best thing to do is to try them both and go with the best one for you.

Just a note, I have the Falcon 4-14X42. Great scope...

I guess I should have refrained from using cheap....$400 is a good chunk of change. What i was meaning to say was best "bang for your buck" not a Nightforce, Mark IV or scopes along that price point.
Those Vortex scopes look interesting, who deals with them in Canada? I have a pair of Vortex Binos I love but bought them from the US (CameraLandny).

Cheers!!

There are dealers in Canada for sure, but I would have to call Vortex Canada and get an updated dealer list. If there is no dealer in your area, I can get any Vortex products that you might be interested in. Drop me a PM for pricing.:D
