Which WW2 Rifle?

$300 I think is a good maximum for a starter rifle, I allready have too many paintball guns I need to sell off so I want to keep the max price down.

The store I will most likely buy from is www.theguncentre.ca, they seem to have a constantly changing selection of used firearms as well as new. THe sell 2 kinds of Savage MK IIs, one is wood and the other is synthetic.

Which brings me to another point, what features should I look for in a gun? Is synthetic good enough or is the higher price for wood the way to go?

Synthetic is "good enough"... It does the job. It really comes down to personal preference when it comes to aesthetics. If you were going to be dragging the gun through the bush you might want to consider synthetic as it is more durable.
