Like the title says , which ww2 sub machine gun would you like to have if you could have one,m full auto etc. another fun poll, and i do love polls,. I like the PPSH, with the landchester second. so vote for two you like to have.

Reising, inspite of its craptacular reputation, I wish someone would consider making a semi only version, as I would rather one of them than a sten.

Even the germans loved the PPSH, they even rechambered it to 9mm

I could have done the Ja#####e sub gun, but they only made about 10000 during the war

Where is the all option?

I'd want a Tompson just because its not only an iconic military firearm, but also has significant history in the hands of gangsters.

I set it so you could vote more than once on the poll, click as many as you want. i just said to pick two, you can pick 3 if you want etc

TGC; "The russians copied the Soumi and called it the PPSH,"

Come on, you can't be serious ?? Pick one up, compare the fit and finish of the two....

They may resemble each other, but that is where it ends. The Finns turned out a very good quality SMG....

The Soviet PPSH-41 and later variant, were expedient, easily made in "cottage industry" set ups, etc, etc.... But they can be pretty rough, even the mags do not interchange between guns in many cases....

That said the post WW-11 production made in several members of the new Soviet Union turned out some very nicely finished versions of the PPSH-41, in particular the Poles and the Hungarians....

Of course the fit and finsih is going to be better in Finn guns, i just go by what i read in books, after the russians got their ass kicked, they copied the finn gun or tried to devlope one along the same lines

so what sub gun did you pick johm lol wait you got a whole waregouse full of those lovley full autos, put me in line for a ppsh when the lwas ever change for the better lol

TGC;
The Finnish guns are way above both wartime and postwar production in the former Soviet Union....

We have to appreciate that the Soviets were in serious touble in the early 1940s, they needed a lot of SMGs, and they needed them yesterday....

They were fighting several major urban conflicts (Stalingrad, Leningrad, etc.), this is the theatre in which you want a sub gun, the PPSH was the perfect tool for the time....

I'm a little old fashioned, I prefer my 1928 Thompson....

If I were you I would not hold my breath for any Canadian government to change the laws in favor of the public owning FAs ever again....

John

Oh well guess iahve to go marry an american woman who's sate will let have have one, or i could come work for you and paly with your companies atuo collection lol

See the thompson and MP38/40 are side by side in votes

an indication of 'favorite'...not necessarily the best

But I likes em all

some of my favorites...
