So after a buying spree this baby shows up...... AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH

I bought the Wife a damn fine car for her birthday so that justifies things right? Have to think..... 2.7K is getting up there for a No #1 but.. You'll all recognize the photos from my favourite enabler.

Somebody strike first and put me out of my misery.

Nostalgic about replacing the one I had as a kid but I hear you on the $$$$. Going to console myself with a Dlask build in lieu..... ;)

Speaking of less common Ruger No. 1 rifles...

Accuracy Plus in P'boro has a used/excellent No. 1 in .450-.400 Nitro Express. $1500.

I hunted extensively with a Ruger #1 I built in 7mm-300Wby with a 28" barrel. The whole rifle came in about the same length as a 23" barreled bolt gun. I never felt limited by hunting with a "one shooter".........."to each his own", I certainly can't talk as I own several customs and semi customs as well as a double, which makes $2700 look to be bargain basement, entry level dollars.............

It sure is a pretty li'l thang though..........

There's a Ruger No.1 in .458 in my safe at the moment. Its my neighbors, but it came to visit so I could figure what it was and attempt to value it. Gonna have to put it on the EE for him one of these days.
