I was sitting around last night with my dad and one of his friends last night, they were talking about the war in Lebanon, since they lived through it...anyways his buddy tells us a story anyways during that story he says he got a hold of a white ak-47, beautiful piece...so I ask him about it...he says it had ivory instead of wood, white metal (painted I am guessing) and lions carved on it...I was like  you still got it? he had to sell it when he moved to Canada.

now, has anyone ever heard of such a piece? are these totally custom? from the way he described it, it sounded like a piece of art

I tried looking on google, but nothing, figured I'd ask here

Sure it wasn't gold-plated?

People with access to lots of cash and AK's could bling them up however they wanted I suppose.
As for a production AK with white ivory hardware and lion engravings... uhm, do you have to ask?

I am just wondering if anyone had come across anything like that

I tried to find pics, and nothing

found it interesting, that's all :D

btw, did anyone notice those cartridges in the "lord of war" pic? they dont look like m43 to me!

i guess steel cases weren't shiny enough...

when they raided sadam hussians palace they found all kinds of blinged out AKs in gold and a gold plated sterling SMG.

it was most likely chrome plated like the other guy said. i have seen m14 and sks like that...rest is just custom made for someone.. i dont think its a factory made unless special order and cost would be insane..

It's one of my favorite weapon AK and dragunov. I am interested to understand why russians have allied themselves to destroy old weapons. It's such a pity to see all these weapons destroyed. Farewell AK's and Dragunov. I know i'll never own one cause i live in Canada.
