any board members hunt much up this way? I have some access to land through a family member and I'm just wondering what my chances are of being able to take a shot on something with more than 4 points? are there doe tags available this year with the general whitetail buck tag? thanks,

Andrew

Are you going to be north or south of highway 9. I used to hunt north on the grazing land a lot. Seen a few nice bucks during antelope season but never hunted there come deer season. Find the draws full of that bush and try and push them out. Some guys use rocks to try and drive them out. You should see a few mule deer and a moose once in a while too.

Brother In Law was living in cereal a couple years ago and shot himself a real nice 5x6 if memory serves. There are some really nice deer out that way.

Them prairie WT bucks are far and few between but they are generally big horned and bodied. They don't get old being stupid in the flatlands.South along the Red Deer river holds some gooders.......

thanks for the replies gents. I will be hunting north of highway 9, zone 163. its been a few years since I hunted deer and looking at regs and figuring out days I can hunt seems like a real pain. I just can't figure the sense in allowing hunting on the 2, 3, 4, 5 but not on the 6, 7, 8 of november, with legal hunting allowed again on the 9, 10, 11, and 12th of november. why?
