Just a word of warning to everyone, snow- covered hen decoys don't work all that well...

Just got back from our camp at Merickville in the Ottawa region. Weather was sunny and 23C yesterday afternoon, wore a camo T-shirt.

Here's what it looked like this morning.

HAHA! Had same crappy weather north of Cornwall. Yesterday I was sweating and getting eaten by mosquitos and today I had my winter bow hunting gear on. I gave up around 8:30 this morning when my decoys were white as well. Hopefully they'll be out in force tomorrow....

I was out as well, got soaked early on then fired up the propane heater and dried off, then nearly messed my pants when a fish and a raccoon got into it against one wall of my blind. The turkeys here are acting differently given the odd weather we have been having, I am going to take a few days off then take another crack this weekend or later next week. Good Tomorrow Jason.
