I saw this gun mentioned in another thread so I looked it up and now I have to have one.

Does anyone know if they're sold in Canada? If not, is there an FRT number for it so I could import one in the future?

Thanks in advance.

They come up very rarely in the EE. I have been looking for a Chrome version, to go with one I picked up from this forum some 6 year ago, but no luck so far.

I see they come up regularly in the US, and when the exchange rate gets more favourable, and I have $1500 spare I will get one via IrunGuns.

In the US there is also an Olympic version, manufactured in recent times as opposed to the 1950's. Again, I never see one here in Canada. They are an interesting pistol, with quite a history. There is a book available from Ebay / Amazon on the development and history of the pistol and the designer. To shoot they are okay, nothing special but they are a still a nice pistol. I am still tempted to have an Olympic version, just so I can shoot one without worrying about resale value! The boxes also command a significant value too. I have seen good condition original boxes fetch $350USD on their own.

Candocad.

They are neat guns. Definite collectors. One came up on EE a few months ago and sold for 500. I was seriously tempted. It is a bit of a dilemma. Rarer in Canada so the time it takes to find one is unpredictable, but it will probably be a lot cheaper. You'll pay a premium for anything collectable coming out of the US (not to mention the 200-250 in brokerage fees) but you can get it quickly.

You guys really don't want to know how little I paid for mine... and it came with the box and owner's manual..

First time out it shot big ugly groups. So I more or less dismissed it as a cool looking oddity. But I've had it out a couple of more times since and the groups are really starting to close up. It's no target pistol but if it gets any more consistent then it'll be better than I am so I'll be the group size limit like with all my other handguns.

Based on how it's breaking in and becoming better I'm thinking that it was either not shot very much or was never shot at all. I fixed that though.

It's a darn cool looking gun if you are into Art Deco styling. I could see it in a holster worn by Marvin the Martian quite easily... :d

Pretty ###y lines...

The original WW 22's are very rare, but the company went broke. A number of years ago another company bought the rights to make the WW. Unfortunately their production guns have the icky liberal Bill C 68 4" barrels and are prohibited class firearms.

All gun owners are equal but some gun owners are more equal than other gun owners. Why aren't gun organizations suing the government for dual cases citizens?
