Who’s got the best deal on labradar right now?

Why are you buying it.. if your friend has one? ;)

He doesn’t hit the range as often as i do!
Now that i got a kestrel, and that i’m bored out of my mind, i wish to develop a lenghty chrono data base for my barrel.
With atmospheric conditions and barrel wear indicated with each chrono groups.
Having fun with numbers at this point,
I’m long overdue for a better shooting spot than 200M lol.

Right now i just reloaded some 308 ammo which i have double check powder weight, sorted bullet weight, and sorting out only ammo with zero runout.
We’ll see what i can do at 200M tomorrow with 5x groups of 5x shots...
Once again, because i have hit the limit of what i can do around here and bored out of my mind!

Can’t wait to try it sunday.
Did all my 308 load dev without a chrono,
Simply by looking at target results at 200M.
We’ll soon see if load dev without a chrono makes sense,
Pending my ES and SD data

Oooooh, you got all the shiny toys! All kidding aside, let us know about your LR experiences. I quite admire mine except for it losing Bluetooth comms with my iPhone(s) and iPad at irregular unrepeatable intervals for no apparent bloody reason! &*((*&%%$ . . . and isn't it E=mc^2? WTH is 4F=E?

Yourself do you prefer running the Bluetooth app or using an SD card for future reviews?

Nice - how much does the better half think this was.... $70?

SD - I have not updated my firmware yet. I'm always cautious to jump on new firmware updates - companies don't spend enough time testing.

I use both, the BT app at the range as I am shooting, writing down the muzzle velocity data with ES/SD/Min/Max for each string. Since an SD card is incredibly inexpensive for the 'small' 16GB version supported, I have the original data available for download into Excel and further massaging should I wish afterwards.

How long does the battery’s last when using the 6aa option? I already have a magnospeed and CED M2 so don’t really another chrono but would be handy for pistol loads on a indorr range this winter.

When this thread popped up i just noticed you we’re wondering wth was 4F = E !

4 times fired, E means annealed
I work brass in batches , and code them to keep track

Jay, i have owned a CED and have tried a magneto speed
Selling both and getting a labradar would be worth it in my opinion.
Never tried batteries, but the rechargeable battery pack offered as an option works great.
It can power both my iphone and labradar at the same time if needed.
I taught it would be a good thing so i don’t run out of phone batteries when running ballistic apps, but the apps aren’t reliable so far...

Yeah 2 to 2.5 hours for 6 new good quality alkaline batteries. Buy a power pack either off of amazon (I bought this: amazon.ca/gp/product/B075VMNK5H/) or get the labradar power pack. I can go to the range at least twice for 3 plus hours at a time and still have lots of juice to spare in my Aukey.

They are on sale now Gents.
Top notch piece of kit BUT will require attachments if you are going to.use it with .22

I use mine for .22 a lot, not attachments required, read the owners manual and adjust the sensitivity and set it over to pistol rather then rifle due to the velocity range, it's not uncommon for mine to pick up the muzzle, 20, 40 and 60 yard velocities even on a cloudy way with high humidity

This is a case of YMMV depending on the unit. You got lucky with yours. Mine wouldn't notice a .22 shot if it hit it. Since I really don't care about .22 velocity it doesn't make bit of difference to me, but if you want/need such, don't buy it and then complain it won't work for .22. They pretty explicitly say that it might need the accessory microphone trigger or whatever they call it.

set the unit 2-3 inches in front of the muzzle, works 99.9% of the time, sensitivity set to 1 and keep the unit within 3 inches of the bullet path

Yup, that is covered in the FAQ and nope, it doesn't work for mine. Since it IS mentioned in the FAQ I will go out on a limb and suggest that I am not the only one to have run across this. As I said before YMMV. Might work great for the majority of the Labradar units but for some . . .

LabRadar FAQ ---->
"Since there is very little muzzle blast pressure emitted from 22 rimfire, Airguns or suppressed firearms you may need to place Labradar approximately 3 inches in front of the muzzle and approximate 3 inches to the side. If your unit still will not trigger due to the low muzzle blast you can purchase the Air Gun Adapter to assist in triggering the radar."
"If your Labradar will not trigger it is because it is not armed (light orange) or it is not “feeling” the muzzle blast. Unless you have a muzzle brake on your weapon your muzzle should be even with the side of the unit. This applies to handguns and rifles. Keep the Trigger Level set at 1."
