I had an SKS set up with a similar pistol-mag conversion a few years ago - also perfectly reliable. When done properly it's actually not a bad mod, if only to satisfy our stupid gun laws.
 
Some of you guys are just sticks in the mud. Of course it's not real, it's for jokes.
