who as moded is 597 VTR ??? NOW WITH PICS !!!! TIPS & TRICKS

Tiss a fake my friend, only a rich fool would put a real one on a .22, its holding zero so all the money I saved goes right back into ammo!

Its a pretty darn good copy too, for under $100 caker dollares.

I also picked up a burris fastfire knockoff and aimpoint knockoff ill post some reviews once I test the crap out of them, I bought spares so if they hold ill list the new spares on ee

I got mine from hawktecharms.com but I wouldn't recommend them horrible service, no tracking number and I had to pay $15 for shipping....pure bs, when I tied to cancel my order because he hasn't shipped it he simply told me he would cancel the order and refund the money for the product but not the shipping... If you haven't shipped it, why da fudge can't I get my money back??? To this day no proof he acctually shipped it 7 days and counting

Yeah he's a bit of tuna! No tracking and it took 3 weeks! But I didn't see the extra item you were supposed to add for the shipping and he just shipped it with a note that next time I needed to pay shipping. But now I have the Extractor!! Can't wait to take it to the range tomorrow

Where did you pick up that bad boy?

Excuse my ingnorance...but what is the purpose of the front site with a scope mounted?

About to change my VTR's fixed stock for something fancier... At first I was pretty sure it was as simple as a regular AR15 stock but it seems the tube won't loosen. The tube end is actually starting to take damage...

Is there anything I'm missing or at some point in it's life it got an aerospace strength locktite treatment??

Once you remove the rear screw. Un-screw the buffer tube. Not hard. Try this 1;

I took a pipe wrench to my handguard and it came off. That's after using a towel, having my buddy over, etc. It's on tight- but once the seal is broken, it easily comes off. I put the Dlask handguard on mine- it is awesome.

Satain, that's exactly what I do with my tube... Guess there IS some threadlock/locktite because it's definitely not as smooth and easy as a regular AR15. I suppose I'll have to man up and use more heat with more brute strenght :p

whats with the AR carry handles? is it just me or do they not look kinda funny

agreed.. looks kinda silly. i sure hope someone makes a nice full length top rail that is designed for this rifle.

my parts for my vtr should be here in a week or two. will post pics when i get them.
right now just have a bushnell red dot on it. no complaints so far.
