I just bought a 597 vtr but i find it a bit to much plane !
Maybe it's because i'm use to upgrading 10/22'S but i want to do something that will make that vtr as lovely as my 10/22 !!!

any ideas, PICTURES....

for a start i was thiking af a collapsable stock in OD, some rails on the sides of the hand guard ,one underneth for a vrtisal grip !

as for the optics, that's ok just put a 3x9x42 tactical on it!

does the 597 vtr as as a compatible stock whit the ar stocks ?

i was looking at the CAA collapsible stock that FABSPORTS has and i'm wondering if the stock is compatible with the 597 vtr ?

I ordered a collapsible stock and some rails from FABSPORTS !

the scope is bull eye, and the breaking in is comming good....
ho yeah the winchester wildcats dont do good ( realy bad) in the rifle, for the moment remington yellow jackets and standerd CCI work good !

next thing , paint the 30 rd mags in flat black !
install the rails, light and the CAA collapsible stock.

more fun to come...:D
maybe order a saddle stock and a foregrip !!!!!:stirthepot2:

Yes the but stock adaptor will accept any ar style butt stock & the front adaptor will accept a delta ring or a screw in free floating hand gaurd like yankiee hills makes. Also Just got some shooter's ridge 25 rounder's for this rifle and I must say...

I am quite impressed. A major step up but still not steel liped. Me and my girlfriend are going to put it threw the paces and report back if they are any good.

Where did you get the shooter's ridge 25 rounder's ?

I shot about a 1000 rds with mine and now i thik it need's a trigger job.
the stock one is to stiff ( around 6 or more ), i will probabely go witn a volcarsteen hammer the get the trigger around 2 to 2 1/2 pounds !

can'T wait the get the rails and m4 stock .....:D
 
PM Mysticpercision he got them special order them for me. Way better than the stock remington 30 round mags. Also the hammer is a defenatly upgrade needed or shoot the crap out of it to lighten the pull.

1x- maybe have the muzzel threded 1/2x28 for flash hider !

just shot 500 rd's and i think i made my choice of ammo for this one !
i'v tried win wildcat/CCI/ rem yellow jacket/federal bulk/rem cyclone and they did not perfor well.
But now i think the remington SUBSONIC is the ammo of prediclection for this rifle, feeds verry good, no stove pipe ,500 rds with a couple of miss fire only !!!
 
If your going for an ar look. the 10/22 muzzle brake that looks like and ar flash hidder works perfectly.

as you can se in the picture i posted yesterday, i have one on the 10/22 but the VTR as a bull barrel so it dosent fit !
