Anyone receive the yet? Anyone have pics? I ordered one and I don't think I ever felt it took this long for a transfer to be completed!

Bought one from Wolverine in Jan and transfered in 3-4 days. My P7M8 Jubilee arrived this week and the transfer went in 3 days!

And the guns rock !!!

Last year I bought an M8 from Wolverine. I asked them to add tritium night sights, and so the whole process took about three or four months, if I remember right. Other than the time it took , there was no particular problem. This is the third in the P7 series I've owned here and in the U.S. In my opinion, the design is the best of the 9s. It has a manual of arms which is different enough to make it not a good choice for most police, but it is one of the safest to handle, among the most accurate and "softest" shooting, and among the most compact and easiest to hold. If you want to shoot IPSC or just fire hundreds of rounds at a session, this is not a good gun. If you shoot occasionally and clean the piece afterwards, it's the best.

I've owned a lot of P7s, and I really used to love them. But I've gone off them lately, and ended up selling out the collection. I admired them from a technical point of view, and they are just plain cool. But, I never did enjoy shooting them much. The M8 used to wiggle around in my hand (granted, I do have gorrilla hands). The M13 was a good fit, but my hand used to cramp up badly when I shot it for an extended period of time. I also burned the inside of my middle finger a couple of times, during extended range trips. After shooting a couple of nice 1911s, I decided it was time to invest my gun money into something else.

I think the one comment was a good one: a good gun for occassional shooting, but not one you will like much if you pump hundreds of rounds through the gun in a typical range session.

With all the choices out there I doubt I would use the P7 as my preferred user gun. It is a collector item and discontinued after all!

I find it's one of the most comfortable guns I've ever held, and a great natural pointer.. very easy to lineup the sites. My hands may be a little more suited for it tho .. YMMV :)
