Who can re-barrel a Tikka

Hornady 200gr VLD-X over H4350 are perfect for ragged holes and for Moose! (Rifle is chambered in .300WSM).

It was a PGW factory ordered .308 Barrel that I took on a trade here in the exchange section. The PGW barrels are made from Krieger barrel blanks. Since I don't have a PGW Coyote, EM Precision rifles re-chambered it to .300WSM and fitted it to the tikka action. The barrel was also turned down to match the shank diameter of the tikka. From my knowledge, this is the first time this has been done. Most of the other Gunsmiths I talked to didn't want to take on the project / told me it wouldn't work.

Good for Casey for explaining why he will not rebarrel your Tikka. It appears for Casey that...'close enough'...is not 'good enough.'

Nicely done. the accuracy is truly something. You started on a CTR receiver right ?
There isn't a lot of smith that d work on Tikkas to this extent. my smith lectured me on why it is not worth doing it vs get a new rifle but I asked him to do it anyways.

Started out as a standard tikka t3 lite in .270WSM
 
What stock is thay, and what does it weigh?

Beautiful rifle! Pretty spectacular accuracy too, nice shooting!

Not true. Some lathes, especially American made ones that are commonly found at a gunsmith’s shop just aren’t geared for metric. Metric threads almost always require a gear-swap and a slightly different threading process on a “good lathe”.

I had my Tikka T3 re-barreled with a Kreiger by Mr. AC Douglas in Saskatoon. The work is very nice. It's not as fancy as some other guns but shoots well. 6x47Lapua. B&C stock and Leipold 6-24x50 but it has a FFP put in by Premeir Reticles many moons ago.
First target is 100 meters 7 shot group, first one was a tad low. Gong is 3 shots at 1065 yards kinda windy day.
