Have you tried it with factory ammo? Or is it in no condition to try any more?

im not trying any ammo in it till a gun smith says all looks ok...or at least a person with a bit more knowledge of the gun then me

Perhaps this will help, but don't expect to get it done quick at this time of year.....busy season for 'Smiths...

Precision arms in King City I've had some stuff done there. Call around though Don. He's really busy and may not be able to get to you soon. Heading to Caygeon on sunday. When are you fellas going in.

we are heading up next sat for the second week of the hunt....gawd we just got home from the moose hunt and off we go again for some deer :D
since your just a bit down the road from us...it would be nice to connect and meet :D

I have to agree with Rod B, Stelios is one of the best around. You may have to wait a while, he is extremely busy. I would also try Wortners in Chatham, he is a factory service centre for Remington.
