Who can tell me about Hammerli

I was looking at one today and it seemed well built and balanced , does anyone know of any issues with the .22lr rifle "sport" or general hiccups with the guns themselves.
 
At a local store they were $285 marked down from $329.
One small negative I've found is that the scope rail is fairly short and rearward so some longer scopes will not give you enough eye relief (ie, you can't put it far enough ahead). For example, my 6-24x42 bsa platinum is too long for it, but my tasco 6-24x40 is fine.
 
Hammerli make unbelievable stuff! I used to own a Hammerli 280 target pistol, until the British government banned all pistols.:mad:

I'm sure their cheaper stuff is still top Swiss quality.
 
Although this Hammerli 22sa sport is all steel and wood, its made by Umarex in Mexico I believe. So no, definately not in the same league as the Swiss made Hammerli's but it appears to be a step above your similarly priced savage, marlin, remington's these days in terms of build quality.
