The front bead on my Remington 1100 decided to fall out during a round of trap this weekend. I now need a 5-40 threaded silver bead that's approximately 0.145" in diameter. I've done my fair share of googling and it doesn't seem like there's much out there in Canada that isn't fiber optic. Brownells has some similar options but I was hoping to not pay 3x the value of the bead in shipping costs and have to wait a month for it to show up. If anyone has any leads on a store that would carry beads that would be greatly appreciated.

I make beads out of a proper sized round head brass screw with a lock tighted nut threaded right up to the head. I protect the threads on the screw with a small piece of shim stock and then chuck the screw in the drill press chuck and go at it with a variety of files until I get the size and shape I desire. Kind of a slow convoluted process but when you need a bead and none are available to purchase reasonably or nearby it will get you by. I also make beads out of 4 - 40 brass or stainless screws in the same manner and if my beads don't fit tightly in the threaded holes in the barrel, I locktite them in. I also make mid-rib beads in the same manner. Hope this helps

A member was nice enough to send me a PM with a couple solutions. Looks like Gravel agency sells Remington specific beads so I'll be going that route. Thanks for the help everyone
