My major concern with Taurus is that in Canada there is no product support. If you bought a firearm and you had a problem with it, then there was no one to send it to for warranty repair. So you were stuck with one of two things, take it to a gunsmith and have him order the part and repair it or try and order the part yourself and repair it. First method you were out 3-4 months of waiting for the gunsmith to look at it and repair it and the second method of trying to get a part from the US Taurus was next to impossible. I went thru this hassle with a new model 92 that lasted 100 rounds if that and it broke the slide, you could see a crack by the ejector. Called Taurus in the US and they basically said sorry for your loss, I would have to get an Import/Export license and have my gunsmith send it to them. They have a lifetime warranty which is great but to US residents only. It was a hastle but I eventually got it fixed, didn't leave a great taste in my mouth after laying out 600 bucks and then finally being able to shoot it 6 months later. If we actually do get a warranty depot in Canada then I would buy one again simply for the lifetime warranty.
