Who Does Salt Annealing?

I received a courteous reply within a day, only trouble is that the kit has become more popular than he was prepared for.(Ballistic recreations)
There is going to be a delay due to some components that he needs to re-stock.
At least a week and possibly more before he will be able to ship.
Oh well.:bangHead:

How long is one tub of salt lasting for? How many cases would you say you can anneal on one? Just trying to figure out how many to buy to prevent having to order more in the next year

I bought the kit, which comes with one tub, plus I bought one extra tub of the salt. If I go through 100 or so brass, I find I want to top up the melt a bit, but less than a teaspoon. I would be guessing the second tub would be empty after many, many thousands of brass. As well, because I only do one case at a time, I find that I can usually tap off the drip that forms on the case mouth as I remove that case, so even less to replace.

I ordered a kit a while back only got one container of salt wished I would’ve at least got one extra. I would guess that I have anneled 200-400 cases so far. They are cheap I wished I would’ve got a few extra.

I found putting the whole tub in was too much when I was doing some cases, so I now have some of the first container now molded in small ingots for when I need to top up.
I did notice the level drop a tiny bit after 200 cases but that was my first go at it and didn't tap them all off.
I ordered one extra container for the same reason you are thinking but if you will be doing a lot, order more.
