I have a Colt Competition in 9mm, which has a 5.5 Lb trigger pull which I would like to get down to 3-3.5 Lbs. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith who does trigger jobs, preferably in Eastern Ontario ?

Thats pretty easy to do yourself. Take the backstrap off the pistol and tweak the left part of the flat spring underneath. There's a bunch of youtube vidoes I'm sure.

Lots of info on how to do them yourself. Brownells sells a pretty simple jig, and has a decent write-up on the process. If you're careful it's doable without the jig toI, I've done a few freehand. You also need to make sure the trigger slides freely in the trigger bar tracks, and probably tweak the sear spring a bit. Check your angles for sear engagement often and don't use power tools.

+1 on DIY. If you are at all handy it’s fairly straightforward. I did one on my Norinco. Didn’t measure the weight before or after but it definitely feels lighter and crisper. It probably helps that I swapped in a few Wilson combat bits and a Dlask trigger and changed out the springs.

Roger fixed my smith and Wesson last week. Broken trigger stud. Grinch had it for over a year and shipped it back broken. I have had action jobs and trigger jobs done by Roger excellent. I had a trigger job done on a 1911 also excellent.
