Who else prefers the 1911 over the Shadow ?

Overall, i like the 1911 for versatility, the customization options, and calibres.

I've shot and competed with both, ranging from stock, to fully custimized race guns. Still always go back to the 1911.

better feel to me, especially the double stack ones.
 
Have to say the 1911 platform owns me.

I had a CZ 75 SP01 tactical 40 - and it was built like a tank, but it didn't fit me - and the trigger sucked.

5, 1911s in the collection now - and to be honest, I'm still looking for the right one - but it will be a 1911!
 
I have a CZ P07 Duty - love it! An M&P9 - not thrilled with it - and so I recently acquired a Remington 1911 R1 9mm to shake things up - arrives tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to trying it out!

Let me know how it goes with the R1. I have been thinking about ditching my Shadow and adding a 9mm R1 to the 9mm Spartan.
