Who Got What Moose Tags in Ontario ?

Phoned the MNR hotline and was told I wasn't successful and was in pool zero and no one in our group was successful, we had enough people in pool 1 for the guaranteed tag for our area....was a bit p.o'd, called back and system was down for repairs, called back again 2 hours later and they had the problem fixed.... we ended up getting a bull tag for 9A, I also applied single for a tag in this area and pulled a cow tag.

itchy finger here boys

Drew the bull tag for the group again this year. Mixed blessing :( - since I'm the only out of towner in the group & can only hunt a week to 10 days - everybody else lives in Dryden- i'll have to transfer it to another member- so I get to pool 2 (2 years in a row transferring) & so will the tranferee, so we will have to add another member next year. shyte!

Here's a dumbassed question, I haven't shot moose in Ontario in almost 15 years. In the mail yesterday was a yellow moose seal, says good for calf except in the following WMU's 48,55A,55B and 57... There's a validation space on the right. It's obviously a tag, has instrustions where to place on the animal. Here's the dumbassed question, Is this a Calf tag or does this require further validation (not hunting in above WMU's)? Reason I ask is because if the draw results weren't released until yesterday and this seal was in my box yesterday, and the phone system says that neither myself nor my group got a tag...

..Ontario hunt tags are retarded. Can anyone shine a spotlight in my face on this?

Darryl and Chilly,
The $290 will seem like spit when you guys are balls deep in moose guts, good luck this year.

Sgt. Rock....you know where we're going! Wildcard year with four good shooters in that area should produce some great stories and photo ops. Its getting to be time to sight that 375 in for October.

it means you bought your tag over the phone and you were not sucsessful in getting the adult tag even if you were in the group draw

Hot damn - I drew the group tag for a bull in 21A, and my dad, who I threw in as a single as we had our minumum group size, drew a cow for the same unit. Yee haw!

Also - the person in the group that had been longest without a tag (8 years in my case) was the one selected when groups obtained tags.

we just got a bull tag in thunder bay area (Ontario)

I just hope my broken ankle (as of this past monday) heals in time (mid. Oct.) so I can go on the hunt. It should, but never know.

I got the bull tag 15b archery yeehaw

I got through at 8:30 am and got the " you wern't succesful and neither was anybody in your group, you were in pool 0" message too....

I knew somethinig was wrong because my group met the guaranteed group number of A pool guys( so there was no question of getting a tag at all)... it was only a matter of watching it unfold as they corrected their errorrs, thorugh out the day.. typical MNR BS... i remeber last year or the year before that some retard opened the draw results a day or two early...
will they ever get it right the first time???

for those that got the message that I got, please call back now as it will be the right message that you hear not an incorrect computer glitch........

wow really?

Ok, hopefully I am not getting my hopes up but I will call them again first thing tomorrow just to see if I actually got anything.
Thanks for pointing that out!

I got the bull tag for our group in WMU 28. First time tag in my name and have been at it for about 15 years.:dancingbanana:

Lucky you because that is my WMU and applied twice.. well my father.. nothing again... but apparently the systems we're messed up so I will try calling tomorrow just in case.

Congrats though!

none for my dads group didnt get any tags either. there is atleast 10 of them that put in for tags and they got none. They know guys from other camps and they didnt get any either. The system is so dumb, so many calfs will be killed this year while all the cows and bulls walk. They will likely see so many bulls too lol it will pi$$ them off pretty good.
