Who has 20" AR's???

cr5, I have actually paired down the family by selling a 14.5" and a 16" lately with another two 16' on the EE currently.
The 20"s have a happy home in the meantime.

After shooting for 40 plus years and since I no longer hunt I have decided to simplify both guns and calibers. I have trimmed my firearms down to an LMT 10.5" a 20" Hbar, both in .223. A 16" AR10 and an AR10 with a 24" match barrel (both Armalite). When I got my 16" AR10, the very first group I shot with it was about 1 1/4 with my plinking rounds, and now it is consistantly under 1" with a number of differant loads and bullet weights. I put my M14's up for sale the next day (sorry Hungry). For the shooting I do nowdays the AR platform just makes more sense to me. Of course nothing is carved in stone and something may catch my eye later today, but for now that's the rough plan.

You sold your  2 x M14's ? WT%#@#? No just kidding, I'm not upset. But If I were you I would hold on to my #### for fear of #### loss!

I agree with you about streamlining calibers and boomsticks. The Zombies will be here on 21 Dec 2012 !! :runaway:

Cheers,
Barney

I know, that's the day I go under the knife for my first of 2 new hips. I have my tin foil hat and my bunny slippers and about 10k of ammo and a case of twinkies, so all will be good.

I just got a Windham Weaponry with a 20" heavy, fluted bbl. It's a bit heavy but shoots like a dream. It's the Varmint Exterminator one and was $1200.00 at P&D in Edmonton.

I was in the look out for a 20'' upper for a while too, came up empty. The ones I found were either too pricy or doesn't have the features I want. So no choice I had to put one together my self. I used a BCM 20'' barrel with 1:8 twist. Turned out it shoots quite well. Sub MOA accuracy with 55gr FMJ bullet, I think it can do better with heavier bullets.

I saw that Norc clone- very nice A2. I wanted 20" barrel and saw one at Questar for a tad over $300 on their website but sold out. I showed interest and the price then jumped $100. Careful what you wish for.

I just picked up the Stag Model 4 special edition with the standard 20" gov't barrel and 1:7 twist and love it. I like the weight and handling of it, bit lighter than the heavy barreled upper I have up in the EE right now. Swapped out the standard hand guards for the free float quad rail and I'm ready for load development and service rifle this summer. Just need to rearrange the sling so that it's mounted to the hand guard rather than the barrel.

Definitely a fan of the full size rifles.
