hey guys

ive heard lots about them but never seems to be from people who own one
do you guys have boyds stocks
what do you think of them and if you have pics of yours can you put some up please
I want to buy one for my wife's rifle and if the walnut ones are finished nicely I might upgrade some synthetic stocks to wood

please leave your thoughts and experiences thx

I have had a Boyd's walnut on my 30-06 for 3+ yrs now. I am not nice too it so it's has dents and scratches. Makes a good hunting rifle. They could use a softer recoil pad.

I've got a Boyd's on a Mosin M38. Drop in fit, very minor fitting (dremel). Finish is very nice and I bought the cheapest one available. Very happy with it and would certainly have another Boyd's as needed.

Ive had lots of them and all were great. The only gun I have left with a boyds is my axis though.

I bought 2 at christmas, one for my rimfire xt-22 which fit perfect and finish even better, only had to make a trigger guard for it, the other was the savage 25 walking varmiter fit right in, other then having to sand the top of the buttstock behind the bolt head because it was binding up the bolt until i removed material and refinished the small area. Cant even tell now where it was

I have a grey thumb hole laminate on my 300 RUM Remington 700. It has made a vast improvement in felt recoil over the factory LSS stock. Very nice finish but needed a little bit of clearance in the barrel channel.

cool thx for the input guys I really appreciate it, its always good to hear from first hand accounts before making purchases
thx for the pics they look nice cant wait to get one in my hands
