who has a boyds stock

Very nice quality for minimum cash...my gunsmith thought I'd paid $300 and couldn't believe it was $95! Now you have the option of dressing them up with checkering, etc., and all for a great price! Can't go wrong with Boyds!
 
I have one on my marlin 60 and it was a perfect drop in. I also have them on my remington 7400 30/06 and that's a different story. The butstock fit perfect but the forend was a major pain in the a*"!. It fit on perfect and after about 6 months I finally decided to shoot it. After 3 shots it split almost completely in half.I called Boyds and they offered to take it back because there was a recall on them and they weren't making them anymore but would not take back the butstock.So I spent hours fiberglassing and dremmeling to strengthen and make it fit better. It works perfect now. I still wouldn't hesitate to order from them again as they are really nice stocks and those forends were brand new at the time and everyone makes mistakes, I just wasn't fond of their customer service.
 
I've got one on my Remington SPS Varmint .223 and I love it. Thumbhole stock is very ergonomic and the "charcoal" finish complements the blued barrel nicely. I'll post a pic when I can, IMGUR has not been cooperating with the computers at work lately...
Had it glass bedded as well and I get 5 round groups 1.5" @ 200m all day, solid 3/4moa platform with the Boyd's.
Best $100 you'll ever spend!
 
I have 6 rifles in boyds stocks.
Very pleased with all of them.
Keep an eye in their Clearance Bin. I got a Magnum contour, checkered Nutmeg laminate, with Remington R3 pad for my 7mm-08 for $69.00 2 minutes with a piece of sandpaper to get the action to drop in
 
I got two already and just ordered another one today.

My Savage 12FV .223 with a Boyds Nutmeg Laminate stock.
The stock fit almost perfect, The blind magazine was a tight fit but I fixed that
in a couple minutes with a wood chisel.
I machined out a couple steel pillars for it and epoxied them in place with JB Weld.
I have large hands and the Boyds stock works well for me. I am very pleased with the
quality.

Your total cost to your door will be about $155, if the package gets through customs without being levied for tax and customs processing fees, which is about half of the time... if it does get levied for fees, you can add another $30 to that.

Boyd's stocks...

I put my Stevens 200 .243 Win into a Boyd's classic pepper laminate.

Had to do some minor fitting of the trigger guard but other than that it was a 'drop in' fit. Very happy with it:

I'm very happy with Boyd's overall quality and have no problem with their stocks.
Some, like ones for lever guns need some final fitting but no big deal for me.
Shipping can be a tad pricey on small orders but if you gotta have, you gotta pay.;)

Boyd's on my 10/22 & Rossi .44 magnum Trapper that I currently own.

I would recommend getting the checkering added. That's the only downside to the Boyd's stock I own. Its a little slick to hold on. The quality is first rate. I wish they offered magnum barrel contours so I don't have to sand the channel bigger.
