Who has a Steyr HS50?

Sizes are:

5mm x 150 (Tool for the barrel)
3mm x 150
2.5mm x 100

No mention of torque but the common sense thing to do is just a snitch tight by hand but not too tight.

I do feel bad for you, how can the previous owner lose the case? That case makes transporting it an ease since it has a set of wheels. And you can just drop it off at the airport check-in when you go hunt ISIS.

Not sure, but reflected in the price. Once I receive the rifle, I'll pick up a Pelican case for it with wheels, and will be good to go.

That's not such a bad thing. The case it comes with is decent but its not pelican grade. Also you have to disassemble the upper from the lower using the provided hex tools. That gets old quick and will put wear/tear on your rifle. Mine stays assembled. I would suggest a case that allows you to leave your rifle fully assembled.

The tools and the cleaning rod are nice editions. The cleaning rod is close to Tipton quality. Canadian tire sells the over sized and longer hex key tools. I just bought a set to put together some weights. It was $9-12. So no worries there.

I went Cadex Tremor for my mag fed 50bmg. It should arrive in about 3-4 months. That being said, I will be keeping my single shot HS50. The HS50 is a quality rifle. I think you guys will be very happy with yours. Also they look really cool. :)

Pelican case will make the total weight even heavier, with the only advantage being waterproof.

But on the other hand, I have no idea which manufacturer make the HS50 case.

Not having to break the rifle down and and reassemble is a big plus. You'll see.

For me it's a fitment issue since it won't go in the car without disassembly. I could put the top down and let it hang on the passenger seat I suppose.

Fair enough. Is your wife borrowing the truck? :p Sorry couldn't resist. That is a very nice car. Also a very nice rifle. With the 50's pickup trucks are usually the vehicle of choice. Although we did load up the back bed of a Unimog once. That was a lot of fun. Now I'm wondering if a longer case will fit in my G35. I'm not so sure it will.

Took the 416 out for a run today.

472gr cutting edge mtac projectile. Shown next to a 30-06 round. Mean looking round.

I met someone last week who is a big fan of the .416. He said it's a very accurate, flat shooting round.

I'm just working on load development, but it seems pretty awesome so far. 472gr projectile at >3000fps. Wicked!

Have you picked up your scope yet?

Ben
