Who has an SAM Longslide .45?

ive always loved the look of the long slide.. But what purpose does it serve? What was the reasoning behind it?

The SAM longslide is a 6" barrel and slide, the amt hardballer from terminator is a 7" barrel and slide. SAM should make a 7" barrel and slide 1911 to give consumers an option since the hardballer is a tiny bit on the rare side.

I have a SAM 1911 Long Slide. I haven't shot it yet. I'm waiting for the registration paperwork. It feels good and seems to be pretty tight. I'll try to write something more useful once I get a chance to shoot it. I plan to change the grips and maybe a couple other things. The safety is narrow and just for right handed shooting. I may change that. Anyway, more to come.

My friend has a AMT hardballer longslide, it's totally awesome, I,'ve tried to buy it off him but he wount sell, it's like totally mint....he just makes me watch the Terminator every time we get into it.........

The Sam's are dam nice for the money, I,m holding out for a stainless one...
