Who has CZ557 Ranger rifles in stock?

Mine is 2021 production. It's good that CZ started doing that. I saw some pictures with cracked stocks and there was no visible gap between the tang and the stock on them

Finally got my NECG aperture sight, it's a really nice looking addition to the rifle. That LoS increase should be beneficial to accuracy as well.
Here is my 243 Ranger with the NECG peep, gonna try it out today

I have the same setup with the NECG. Fills a niche for a general purpose rifle that’s good to 200+ without glass and dependable at -30C/ -40C where scopes can fail or fog.

After getting to know the rifle I thought it should have won the ranger contract for being the better value. The Tikka is the better rifle but not by much, yet much more expensive. Maybe other factors played into the decision.

Here’s mine:

Got both of my Ranger and 527 equipped with NECG sights. I also ordered their smallest aperture ghost rings, now that front sight hood doesn't interfere with the sight picture :) should improve accuracy a bit too.

How is accuracy with the NECG sights? Do you find an improvement over the factory set-up?

I'm used to traditional European tangent sights with a U-notch, so I'm more accurate with factory sights, groups are tighter on paper. But target acquisition is much faster with NECG. Speaking from practical accuracy perspective, NECG allows me to hit the same steel plates that I hit with OEM sights up to 200m. Smallest ghost ring improved accuracy for me compared with the default size.

So I found this 557 while randomly browsing inventory online and couldn't pass on it.. Now I can permanently leave my Ranger with iron sights and put a scope on this one. I hope it arrives before Christmas.

I don't know which model it is....Night Sky or Eclipse or something else, but they come with irons and detachable mags, synthetic stock, around $700-$800 in 308, a rail and a 10 round mag and it would be a poor man's Ranger....maybe better then the Ranger with the synthetic stock. I see them around but I'm not sure I need another 308...have enough of them already lol.
