I have experience with several types of front sights: undercut target, ramp, red ramp, and white dot, but have never used fibre optic.

Would appreciate hearing about your experience and how you rate them.

I use both HiViz on my Glock and Firesites on my P345. Both make for quicker target acquisition and easier to focus on the front site. Although they work okay indoors, they really jump out when exposed to natural light, almost like they are glowing.
If you try them you wont be disappointed.
Cheers:)

I have come to a revelation,...I only like the FO on the front sight. I have a PSI front and rear adjustable. I find the rear almost too distracting. I like the clean FO front, and black rear adjustables. I have this set up on my STI Edge, and my USP, and my sons Shadow.

Many thanks to all who have responded to my request for information - much appreciated!
So far the score is: For F/O sights - 9, Against - 0.

Maurice,I appreciate and identify with your experience because I have found the same thing with three-dot sights and I black out the dots on the rear sight - find that I then get quicker and surer target and sight acquisition.

I will soon have F/O front sights installed on at least two pistols.

Hiviz on my Ruger 22/45 Mark III Hunter.
Truglo on my Winchester 1300 Defender.
Have shot CZ75 with aftermarket Tritium sights, front & back, awesome fast target acquisition & accuracy.
Do it.

yup, ditto here. I had those adj FO rear sights, and found the 3 dots jumping around too much - I've since removed the FOs in the rear, and only kept the front. just perfect...
