Who Has Experience with Fibre Optic Sights?

Got TruGlo F/O's for my Kimber & Sig 226 from TSE and had Reliable in Vancouver install them. Oh ya! This works for me. So far no complaint but if the rear sight is too bright after a while I'll tape a tiny bit of colored gel over each rod.

Just one more thing that can break, either the rod or the sight its self. they are a great help if your eyes are going but I'll stick with a solid black sight untill that happens.
 
Good for you, I take care of mine too, I also put far more rounds through mine then the average shooter. I guess it all depends on what and how you shoot. For plinking and screwing around it will probably never break on you but with the high round count and fast firing rate involved with IPSC/USPSA shooting the rods break quite frequently. Which could cause a major distraction during a course if the rod is hanging half way out or if it's not there and you can't pick up the front sight. I've watched a few shooters trash a large stage when the sight broke in the middle and the remains of the post didn't come off it just turned 90 degress. If you don't have any issues picking up a black front sight then why add another variable? If you feel it will help you out then get one but make sure you replace the rod before a major match. A fiber optic will help you acquire the front sight quicker not sharper, nor will it make your alignment better. I found that on tight shots where I really needed a crisp centered sight picture the glow from the dot would wash out the sides of the post. FYI high overall in Standard at the ontario provincials didn't have a fiber optic sight, which goes to show its not essential equipment for fast accurate shooting.
