I finally....after a lot of internet research.....ordered a CZ 452 Varmint. I have a thing for heavy barrels.

Anyway, I figured I would go ahead and order the low 11mm to weaver bases and a spring kit. I was snooping around one of the other forums and found at least 3 dozen complaints about very inconsistant service. Some are still waiting for things they ordered over 6 months ago.

I used his website to order these parts and payment was through (FRAUD ALERT). Have all of you who ordered the spring kits recieved them?? How long did you have to wait for them?

I would appreciate your experience.

Thanks

I ordered and got 2 spring kits but this was 2 yrs ago. He is so busy that I think he can't handle the volume. Did you check out rimfirecentral.com I haven't been there for a while but they thought very highly of him a while ago----Cowboy

I dealt with him a few years back. I had the trigger kit in hand in about a week with no problems. I exchanged e-mail with him suggesting other product he might want to carry. He responded quickly and pleasantly. I have no complaints about him.

Barks,

I know some people up here in Canada that got them after 3 weeks. Instead of ordering through Brooks I went to Rona to get a lighter spring. I figured I wasn't going to chance getting screwed by him. he's pretty much hit and miss ...wait a few weeks if nothing shows up file a (FRAUD ALERT) dispute.

It's a shame, I'm putting my CZ 11mm to weaver adapter for sale tonight.

I have ordered Brooks kits and other accessories on two different occasions over the last couple of years and I was pleased with both transactions. I do not remember the exact delivery times; however, they were certainly reasonable.

Chizzy

I got my trigger kit in a couple weeks . . . last September. In October I ordered the action screws. In November, I received an apologetic letter and he would get right on it. (FRAUD ALERT) extracted the money from me, I am still waiting and my credit card is now taking up the battle to get my money back. Not a good idea in my opinion. Try RimfireCentral.com

I went to Eric's Web page tonight, and saw that he was on line so I phoned him. He is agreeable to shiping first, and I will pay him when they arrive. I only want the action screws. We will see, and I will report back.

Don't mean to scare you but there's a thread running over at rimfirecentral on Eric Brooks, I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

ordered the kit boxing day, arrived about 5th jan.. so no complaints from me... but i ordered in the knowledge that there was a 50/50 chance i wouldnt see it...

id say its worth a gamble for the kit, but wouldnt put lots of money his way..

The other

alternative to the Brooks kit and no fear of wondering whether or not it will show up is the adjustable sear from Brownells. They are definately more than the Brooks kits in the 60.00 rabge but well worth the money IMO.

Well. Thankfully I got email confirmation that the goods were sent this morning. I got a (FRAUD ALERT) reciept. I guess time will tell if they get here okay.

Thanks for all the links and the help gentlemen. Most apreciated.

I ordered a trigger kit and a bore guide on Feb 15/08 and recieved a email today."Many thanks for your order. My apologies for the delay in processing it.
I will mail it today and you should have it in 4-7 days."
