You cant buy them separately, in my case i bough the same model 92 with a regular barrel and swapt the full sized one onto the Hand rifle, expensixe a bit but i would not give it back fo the world, great hunting rifle and quite accurate for 12 inch of barrel with my tailored 270gr. Speer and very light in weight and in recoil, great 44 mag... JP.

Successfully swapping a butt-stock is now a project? Wow :p
I'd be more inclined to think fitting and finishing a stock from a blank would be a better use of the term.

It apparently doesn't just "swap-over"... There's fitting & finishing to be done in order to complete it.

And he's french, so cut him some slack... :p j/k'ing

I got one on my ranch hand, you have to fit and finish it but it is worth it.

Once you dun it you will fall in love with the small carbine

;)

I believe Carverk is referring to a boyds stock, I'm sure he'll chime in.
If the buttstock in question was taken from a winchester 92 or 94 you may have to fiddle with the inletting somewhat.

Hey CarverK, you got any pics of some of your carvings? Sorry, a little off topic here. :)

I do but I don't know how to post them I have bin engraving for about 5 years still learing about it so I just do it for me
Carving wood for about 20 years haida totam poles to mask
Stone carving about 15 years
engraving is the most challenging for me
