who has RPR barrels?

Looking forward to comparing JC's PRS barrels against new arrival of Criterions. I wouldn't bet against JC's product, as anyone who gets the attention of Boots Obermeyer has to be doing something worthwhile.

Very nice 5 shot group mr sharp iam gonna have to get in touch and see if my gun is ready he did a barrel in 6.5x55 lapoua which he tried on my rifle until he had the creedmore reamer ready to do mine in 6.5. Did you do any work on your trigger and how do you like the seekins precession forend
 
I love the Seekins, it is light years ahead of the stock hand guard both in looks and the way it attaches, plus the flat bottom is nice if you want to shoot off bags.

I had it out today to the local gravel pits and with factory ammo shot 0.33MOA at 360 yards and then took it out to 655 and only got in a couple 5 shot groups as the wind and rain moved in best of the 2 was a 1.20MOA. Shot from a plastic folding table with carpet on it, this was the farthest I've shot so far and still have A LOT to learn, tomorrow if it isn't raining I'm going back out with my shooting mat and see how I do from a lying position, was rushed today but wanted to get some shooting in.

My shooting does not do this barrel any justice at all, I have lots of room for improvement on my end that's for sure. I can likely get 695 yards at the gravel pits if I shoot corner to corner, so will have to find somewhere else to do 1000.
 
Oh and the trigger, mine is just turned down as low as it goes and actually is below 2lbs, I'd say it's around the hair over 1.5 lb mark, I don't have an actual trigger gauge, I just have a small pull gauge.

I'm basing it's accuracy on I have 2 trigger tech AR15 drop ins that come set at 3.5, and adjust from 2 to 5 lbs, I tested both of them and they were are 3.5 when I got them and set at lowest measure hair over 2, my RPR set as low as it goes measures 1.5 lbs on my pull gauge. I've also tested my KIDD 10/22 2 stage triggers and the stages measure what they are suppose to be set at when I ordered them.

So as accurate as I can measure with what I've got for a scale, that's where I'm thinking it's at.
 
Stretched it to 885 yards today, last group of the day, 0.83 MOA, was also best group of the day when the wind cut me a bit of slack, prior to that was shooting about MOA to just under and one group that was slightly over, Was shooting from a lying position with a shooting mat for the first time and like how I can load my bipod that way.

 
Very nice for that distance I shoot f-class and my stocks are designed to shoot prone and that would have scored well at that distance , when I shot an RPR for the first time a few weeks ago off the bench on a machine rest it was very difficult to hold steady.

I then mounted a bipod on it and it worked much better and think the seekins handguard is also a much better design and more rigid than the factory one ,certainly a very good upgrade from the original from what I have been reading.
 
Thanks guys, I was pretty happy with today's shooting.

I have to set up in the country out in a field, local gun range only goes to 200, so for bench all I have is a plastic folding table and folding chair so the ground is way more steady for me, even the solid range benches I can hold better on the ground.

I would like to hook up someday with someone with experience so they can point out any bad habits I have, just been watching videos thus far and not near as consistant as I'd like, but today was a good day, had to adjust my scope for some wind changes but started at 650 yards and got on it after one shot a bit high, then moved to my target that worked out to the 885 and took 4 to get on as had a poor background and couldn't see the hits till I dialed way low to see dirt fly and then adjusted up and over to it.

Takes me a bit to crunch the numbers, so no way I'll be looking to do any matches anytime soon, and like an idiot I forgot a pen and pad today to make notes, FAIL.
