Getting ready to order it up. Wanted to know if anyone has one yet. Got to handle one in the US but never got to fire it. I like the fact that it is only marginally bigger than my XD40. Any thoughts / oipinions from owners?

Regards,

Guys,

I read not so far ago that the XD45 has not been accepted in Canada yet. Something with barrel length, configuration or something. Am I missing something?

The XD45 Service Model has a 4" barrel, the XD45 Tactical has a 5" barrel. It's the Tactical model that is/will be for sale in Canada.
Questar (click on banner above) has them.

Anyone konw when the XD 45 ACP will be arriving in Edmonton AB? I've talked to several gun stores and they are all on back order. Any new info?

Well I just found out that Wild West in Edmonton has just got some XD 45 ACP in stock. I'm going to go check one out this weekend and see how it looks. Although I'll probably end up buying one. :)

AHHHH damn it i still have 5 1/2 weeks until i get my restricted.....they'll all be sold at Wild West b4 i can buy one :(

You can buy them now and tell them to hold it until you get your Restricted. :)
I'm sure they'd be more than happy to do that as would any other store.

I've had my 5inch tac XD45acp for a few weeks now and I love it (USA GUN). http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94198

I really love shooting this gun. I love having 13 rds plus 1 in the hole. I have no negatives about my XD, bought an extra mag for it too. The only thing I'd like to change on mine is maybe putting on some nightsights, I have a thing for night sights for some reason, currently its the only handgun without em... wait I lied my DE doesnt have them either. M6 is now sold, I've put my Surefire X200 on it. I need to buy like 3 more X200 so I dont have to keep taking them off my kimber and glock :D

Just got mine today, took it to the range and love it. Accurate, good trigger (not a 1911 trigger but still good). Very controllable recoil, much better than I expected, possibly less than my XD 9. No regrets.

XD-45 is a wonderful handgun. It's light, tight, and fits my hand perfectly. I find the pointability excellent and the recoil more than manageable. During the first 6 months I had it, it was my number one range companion.

Actually...I know who has them (as far as dealers go). I wanted opinions from owners as to how well it shoots / handles.

Most gun shops will take a deposit on their firearms, with the stipulation that the balance be paid off in a reasonable period of time. IIRC, Ken at Wild West accepts deposits,(somebody correct me if I'm wrong) Ellwood Epps does as well(personal experience.)

Hey guys, I just picked up my 45 acp XD last night. I haven't shot it yet but I can't wait. Wild West has a few more and they are dirt cheap.Only $795 comes with holster, mag pouch, speed loader, 2 mags, and a nice case. Hopefully you guys in Edmonton can try to get your hands on one.
