I am concidering this scope for my long range shooting, but i would appreciate some other Gunnutters experience/ feedback/ review on this scope.

I will be mounting it on a 7mmRem Mag. With a Cadex Defense Stike Light Chassis. I am hoping to shoot MOA steel plates out to 1760 yards occasionally. Most of my fun shooting is between 500-1000yards. I know this is an expensive option. What cost level have you seen on this scope? I have heard they are around $3500.00.

Thanks for your time!

they come in right around 4g, same as the S&B line up. nightforce is great quality, but the model is still new. id spend the $ on the proven Schmidt and bender line up. at least until a few more NF BEASTS hit the market and there is more feed back on them and guys have got more time behind them

that being said, i HIGHLY doubt there will be any problems with them, so if it has the features you want, go nuts.. glass clarity / pop / contrast etc , is purely subjective, but any top end scopes you cant go wrong with

If they are as good as their other products, you can not go wrong with proven quality

It's Nightforce not Knight Force ;)

Reviews are good. Price is high but if that doesn't bother you then go for it. I have a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 on my 338 Lapua and love it. Great glass and built like a tank. I just bought a Nightforce 3.5-15x50 for my AR-10 and am waiting for it to show up in the mail.
Nightforce makes great scopes but if you want the best you want S&B.

I have a friend that wants one but I doubt he'll pull the trigger. I can't blame him, the price difference and the added benefit, I still think the ATACR is a far better value, I "cheaped out" and got the NXS 5.5-22x56 which is still a great scope.

I've held the ATACR which is similar dimensions, and it is a BEAST for sure.

Fixed it for you. :jerkit:

Get the ATACR. Almost the exact same quality and options for a grand less.

Had it out for the first time on my 300WM. Super clear, I would say it is a touch brighter image than my ATACRs. Everything, right down to the smoothness of the parallax to the crispness of the adjustments, feels just perfect. I'll post more thoughts next time I take it out.

Had it out today and was able to compare directly with one of my ATACRs. Definitely a brighter, more vibrant image. As I was only at a range that goes to 300, I didn't get a chance to do a comparison at longer ranges- other range is 1460. Although I've looked out back of my house to around 1500yds with both, it does resolve the image better- more detail visible for sure. With my 20MOA rail, I have 85MOA of vertical adjustment left- which is definitely nice, but likely not much use at a range of 1900yds for a 208gr BTHP bullet. Certainly exceeded my expectations as I was afraid I might be disappointed in it. But it is certainly a step up from the ATACR. As all my other scopes are SFP, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying FFP on this one. I don't regret the purchase one bit (although it did hurt the pocketbook).

I have never been unhappy when I went with the higher priced scopes, but an extra $2000.00 may hurt too much! Lol!

I may have to wait another month or two before I buy.

JEEZ.... There isnt a shade of green to describe my jealousy! DOH! Guess I have to keep peeping through my ghetto Bushnell 6-24x50 Elite Tactical FFP G2DMR..... meh. like looking through a old cigarette smoke stained curtain, submerged in a sewer ..... well. maybe not that bad. ;-) its actually pretty dang clear, but I just cant imagine what the BEAST would look like!

ginnz.
