I don't know about that. I've got a .270 WSM going 3400 with 130s and a couple .270 Wins doing 3000 on a good day. Even at 40 bucks a pound for powder that isn't even a nickel a shot more expensive.
 
Thread hijack: I handload 140gr Nosler Accubonds with 59grs H4831SC, I get ~3025fps average... mind you that's in a 26" length barrel Sendero.

I'm okay with that, since you cannot beat the Nosler Accubond for accuracy or terminal performance (in my humble opinion).


* 3000 fps with a 160gr would be nice... *
