who here shoots the Sig P250?

I picked one for TSE during their Easter sale for $429. I've only put a 100 rounds through it so far so these are just my initial observations.

These normally retail for $500 give or take so in that price range you have a couple more options look a Canik TP9SA if you want a striker fired pistol or the Walther PPX if you want DAO. I personally think both of those guns and their range kits offer a much better value than the P250 if you're paying full retail for the P250.

The P250 has a long trigger pull the manual states it's 3.8 kg + or - 0.3 kg, I don't have a gauge so I'm assuming that the manual is accurate. Mine has a weird trigger reset once i ease off the trigger and it goes "click" i have to let it off just a tiny bit more for a second "click" before I can fire again. I'm not sure if that's by design or what but I've only had it out once so I'll have to continue to pay attention to it if it needs to go click twice before the reset. But I had no problems with firing during the first 100 rounds, no FTE, FTF's stove pipes, light primer strikers etc every round went bang.

Field stripping is super easy and tool less rotate the take down leaver 90 degrees and pull off the slide. and pull out the take down leaver if you want to remove the girp frame. It's nice too that the magazine release can be put on the other side of the gun with just a paperclip if you're left handed. The sights are fixed and I'm not sure if they're even user replaceable.

Magazines are only made by SIG so it's not like a p226 where you have the option of the sig branded magazines or the mec-gar magazines, I'm pretty sure mec-gar makes the sig branded P250 magazines as the mags say made in Italy on them. Holster options seem pretty limited too. Sig makes their own holster and then fab defense makes some but that's about it from what I can tell.

The removal grip and how the trigger group is the part with the serial makes for a neat concept, I haven't seen any other caliber x-change kits for it other than the 9mm with the Night Sights available, So keep that in mind if you're buying one for the different caliber kits you might not be able to find them.

As for the grip, I've only tried it with the standard grip and I find that it fits me pretty comfortably I don't see myself replacing the grip anytime soon.

Again this is only I've put a 100 rounds through it so I'm not expert on it and this is just what I think of it.

what made you buy it?

what are your thoughts on it?

did you buy one of the alternate sized grips to fit you better?

thanks!

They were on sale some time ago from Irunguns for $420 all in or something like that, when I bought one. I thought it was a decent pistol, fairly accurate, but I couldn't get used to the trigger. I'm not sure if they changed since I had one, but there was no short reset at all on the one I had, any less than full forward trigger position. That trigger went all the way back to the start. Smoothest DAO ever though.

Great gun. Excellent DAO trigger. I find mine to be super accurate, but maybe its just the double action forcing me to slow down and focus on 'fundamentals'.

Uses same magazines and holsters as the Sig P320 which is kinda nice if you want to get into a striker fired system.

I won one at the ORA CQB championship two years ago. It is a good shooter, but not ideal for action shooting.

I like the fact that it can be completely changed very easily and quickly, as I can change it into a compact P250 when I take it to the US.

I have also shot the P320 and I like it a bit more.

I have owned a p250 for about a year and a half, I bought it so I could practice with a similar trigger to my issued pistol. I think it is an excellent value pistol that is very accurate. I used to own an SP-01 shadow and I can shoot my p250 just as accurately as the shadow which costs double. I have yet to have a failure of any kind as of yet and takedown and cleaning are as easy as it gets. I feel it's a very underrated pistol just because people can't shoot a dao trigger but once you master it it's as easy to shoot as a single action to me.

i have one and love it.....i was a revolver only shooter for years....same trigger pull as a revolver....super sweet gun.....i can shoot this way better than any beretta or glock anyday...laser accurate too......a bargain for under 500$...gonna buy a second soon
